A-1 Drivers Training LLC is owned and operated by Ronald E. Carr Jr. and is located in Carrsville, VA. I have almost 29 years of Tractor Trailer Driving Experience in our family business before being blessed to have the opportunity to take over the Drivers Education Business. I believe those years prepared me to provide the insight that students need today to be defensive drivers. Mr.David Devers from the Suffolk area is one of my instructors. He is a Driver Education teacher at Lakeland High School. He brings a lot of the Educational part to the students as he instructs them while doing their Behind the wheel. Mr Devers and I are also involved in the students lives as we both are Coaches of various sports. We take our opportunity to serve you very serious. We serve the surrounding counties, Isle of Wight, Southampton, and Suffolk. A-1 Drivers Training LLC and its affiliates, A-1 Drivers Ed, and A-1 Driving School, also located in Franklin, Va., have been in continuous operation for over 26 years
We pride ourselves in a "Quality learning and driving experience." Behind the wheel instruction requires by law that all students drive 50 minutes and observe 50 minutes each session, no more than once a day.
If your child is receiving less than the required amount of instruction, it is not only illegal, it is dishonest and unethical! The student is not receiving state mandated training and instruction that is necessary to make a safe driver. Schools that do not follow state guidelines are placing the student at risk. Laws are constantly changing and it is very hard for adults as well as young student drivers to keep up with all of them. Please do not hesitate to call us with any questions you may have.
We teach behind the wheel and classroom instruction to students from many public schools, private schools, academies, as well as providing service to homeschoolers, throughout the area. Classroom instruction is available all year at various locations which we will provide listings of as they become available. At A-1 Drivers Training LLC we adhere to all the rules and regulations mandated by the Board of Education and the Department of Motor Vehicles, thus providing the highest quality of instruction for all students.
